The attendance is for free, because we would like to offer the possibility to attend the competition for every student. We do not pay for travel expenses and accomodation costs. It is expected that a adult supervisor or adult companion accompanied every student./ Jeder teilnehmende Schüler benötigt eine erwachsene bevollmächtigte Begleitperson.

The registration for the contest 2024 for students is possible until May 31st, 2024 and can be made only registration formular on this site./ Die Anmeldung zum Wettbewerb 2024 ist bis zum 31. Mai 2024 möglich und zwar nur per Formular unten auf dieser Seite.

Each participant is asked to write an essay/story (1 page) to express their joyousness and passion for mental calculation or mathematics, as well as why they would like to attend at the international junior mental calculation contest 2024 (in german or english) and sent it to jmcwc2024@gmail.com until may 31st 2024./ Jeder Teilnehmer muss auf einer Seite beschreiben, warum er am Kopfrechnen Spaß hat und am Wettbewerb teilnehmen will und diese an jmcwc2024@gmail.com bis zum 31. Mai 2024 senden.

Because we are not able to offer more participation places than 30 persons for each age group,this essay will be used to decide which student is allowed to take part at the event and the contest./ Da wir in jeder Altersgruppe nicht mehr als 30 Teilnehmer aufnehmen können, wird die Bewerbung darüber entscheiden, wer an der Veranstaltung und am Wettbewerb teilnehmen kann.

For countries which will take part first time we will allow only 3 participants overall to get familar with the high level of the competition.

The registration deadline is May 31th, 2024. The applicants are informed per e-mail at June 2024, if they are allowed to attend./ Der Bewerbungsschluss ist der 31. Mai 2024. Alle Bewerber werden Anfang Juni 2024 benachrichtigt, ob sie teilnehmen können.

Visa

All nations who will need an official invitation of the junior mental calculation contest 2024 are requested to order these in time. Please inform yourself about all necessary information like special time limit or paragraphs. As long as the Organizing Committee request for alternative delivery, the invitation will be send out by email.
The organisators have no influence on the embassies!
We can provide invitation for the period of the International Junior Competition in Bielefeld, Germany only. For nations were a visa invitation letter is required, we can only issue such invitation letters until july 15th 2024. Later changes on visa invitation letters can not be supported and might lead into rejection from your embassy. The request for the visa at your embassy need to be organized by your own.

Accomodation/ Unterkunft

You have to organize and pay for your accomodation yourself.

Weather information

In Germany we have autum. In may the average temperature may be 10°C – 20°C, may-be colder, sometime 8 - 15°C , and sometimes rainy. Please inform yourself about the weather conditions prior to your arrival.

Liability

Attendance at the event organized by the organizer as well as the arrival
and departure to and from the venue is made by the participants at their own
risk and peril.

The participants, their parents and guardians as well as the respective
accompanying adult are hereby notified that in order to participate in the
competition and the overall program a good general health and a sufficient
condition is required.

The organizer is not liable for damages of any kind that the participant or
accompanying person is causing during the event on the property of third
parties and / or third persons.

The duty of supervision for the underage participants remains with the
parenst or guardians. The organizer accepts no duty of supervision. The
usual rules apply for the seminars announced.

In all cases of contractual and non-contractual liability the organizer does
not provide compensation.

Please remember to take out adequate insurance in case of accidents and
cases of cancellation.

Haftung

Die Teilnahme an der vom Veranstalter organisierten Veranstaltung sowie die An- und Abreise zum/vom Veranstaltungsort erfolgt durch die Teilnehmer auf eigene Gefahr und eigenes Risiko.

Die Teilnehmer und die Erziehungsberechtigten sowie die jeweilige erwachsene Begleitperson wird hiermit darauf hingewiesen, dass zur Teilnahme am Wettbewerb und dem gesamten Programm ein allgemein guter Gesundheitszustand und eine ausreichende Kondition vorhanden sein muss.

Der Veranstalter haftet nicht für Schäden gleich welcher Art, die der Teilnehmer oder eine Begleitperson wärend der Veranstaltung am Eigentum Dritter und/oder an Dritten Personen verursacht.

Die Aufsichtspflicht für minderjährige Teilnehmer verbleibt beim Erziehungsberechtigten bzw. bei der von ihm eingesetzten Begleitperson. Der Veranstalter übernimmt keine Aufsichtspflicht. Für die angekündigten Seminare gelten die üblichen Bestimmungen.

In allen Fällen vertraglicher und außervertraglicher Haftung leistet der Veranstalter keinen Schadensersatz.

Bitte denken Sie an eine ausreichende Versicherung bei Unfällen und in Fällen eines Reiserücktritts.
